The LPC29xx incorporates a sophisticated and complex power management system. In this application note we will describe how to use the power management unit to place the MCU into a power down (PD) state while maintaining the ability to respond to its environment.

Keil MCB4300 Evaluation Board

The Keil MCB4300 Evaluation Board enables you to create and test working programs based on the NXP LPC4300 family of ARM Cortex-M4/M0 processor-based devices.

Features:

  • Serial Port

A standard DB9 connector is on the board for the LPC4350's built-in UART interface. This is a full duplex, serial port.
  • CAN Port

A standard DB9 connector for applications requiring CAN communications.
  • USB 2.0 Full Speed and High Speed Ports

2 standard USB Type mini-B connectors: for USB Device, Host and OTG communications.

LPCOpen Platform for NXP LPC Microcontrollers

The LPCOpen platform provides software support for multiple NXP devices and is constantly being developed and improved. The LPCOpen platform is download in multiple parts. However, you only need the LPCOpen paltform code to get the core drivers and examples.

The following are the main and optional components on the LPCOpen platform:

The Common Driver Library (CDL) software package provides a generic set of drivers which highlight how specific peripherals and functions work. This software package also comes bundled with Board Support Packages (BSPs) for the Embedded Artists EA3131/41 and EA3152 development boards which feature the NXP LPC3131/41/52 microcontrollers. The BSPs includes start-up code and examples which can be easily built and executed using any of the supported tool chains. Combined, the LPC313x CDL and BSPs allow you to jump-start your LPC313x microcontroller development.
