Download George Romaniuk's white paper, "Testing performance of SPIFI interface and selected DSP library functions." (PDF)

This project included testing the performance of the SPIFI interface on LPC4350. Example files were modified to run the M4 core at 200MHz and read and write to SPIFI attached FLASH. Timer was added to measure the execution and data transfer time. Reads were at an amazing 44.9MByte/s; writes were much slower due to FLASH. In addition to SPIFI, some DSP routines were timed and performance was documented.

George Romaniuk has worked with embedded systems using MC6800, Z80, MC68020, PowerPC and now is using ARM. He also designed ASICs and used DSP or FPGA to meet system performance requirements. He designed line of low-power TV transmitters for UHF and MMDS band. George started and sold one company, and his designs are still being manufactured in volume.
